Bangladesh lose openers

Bangladesh lost their openers – Liton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto - early in the fourth T20 of the tri-nation series in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 11 runs facing 9 balls while Liton Das managed to take 38 runs playing 22 runs.

Score: Bangladesh 121/3 (14 overs).

Earlier, Zimbabwe skipper Hamitlon Masakadza won the toss and opted to field first. The match started at 6:30pm.

Amid the disappointing performance since the ICC Cricket World Cup, Bangladesh need to win the match to reach the Tri-nation T20 series final.

Zimbabwe’s two defeats in a row in Dhaka have basically kept the hosts in advantageous position to confirm their final. If Bangladesh wins the match, Afghanistan, the other team of the tournament will also seal final alongside Bangladesh.
