Octane price cut by Tk 4, petrol by Tk 3

The government has reduced fuel prices in the local market in line with the global market prices.

Diesel and kerosene prices have been reduced to Tk 108.25 from Tk 109, octane price to Tk 126 from Tk 130 and petrol price to Tk 122 from Tk 125.

As a result, diesel and kerosene prices have been cut by Tk 0.75, octane price by Tk 4 and petrol price by Tk 3.

The power, energy, and mineral resources ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Thursday.

According to the gazette notification, the new prices will come into effect from Friday (March 8) and will be effective for this month.
