Beef to be sold at Tk 650 per kg, eggs at Tk 114 per dozen 

Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter said that the government has taken an initiative to sell milk, eggs and meat at affordable prices throughout the month of Ramadan.

As part of the initiative, liquid milk will be sold at Tk 80 per litre, beef at Tk 650 per kg, dressed broiler at Tk 250 per kg and eggs at Tk 114 per dozen in mobile trucks.

The adviser said this at a press briefing marking the holy month of Ramadan and six month activities of the ministry on Monday.

The programme will be inaugurated on February 28 in South Baridhara residential area. Products will be sold at 25 points of the capital.

Each day during Ramadan, approximately 60,000 eggs, 6,000 litres of milk, and 2,000-2,500 kg of dressed broiler meat will be sold through the mobile trucks.
