Gold price increases 

Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold.

The Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of BAJUS made the decision at a meeting on Saturday.

According to a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the committee, the gold price has been increased by by Tk 1,365 to Tk 1,67,098 per bhori (11.664 grams).

The price of 22-carat gold will now be Tk14,326 per gram, and 21-carat Tk13,675 per gram, The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk11,721 a gram while that of traditional gold at Tk9,686 per gram.

New prices will come into effect on Sunday, the release added. However, prices of silver remained unchanged.

The price of 22-carat silver is Tk241 per gram, 21-carat Tk230, 18-carat Tk197, and traditional one is Tk148 per gram.
