Nagad CEO is a fraudster, says Governor

Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H Mansur branded Md Safayet Alam, CEO of Nagad Limited, a fraudster, declaring him unfit for the role.

The governor made the opinion while addressing reporters after a meeting at the Finance Ministry on Sunday (May 18).

He said, “He committed fraud, is guilty, and has no right to hold this position.”

In response to a question, he said, "He is a fraud. How can he be the CEO? We have filed a case against him."

Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser in charge of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, Faiz Ahmed Tayyab, and Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman were present at the meeting.
