Tk405cr allocation proposed for families of July uprising martyrs

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed has proposed a Tk 405 crore allocation for July mass uprising martyrs’ families, and injured victims in 2025-26 fiscal year.

The adviser made the proposal while presenting the national budget for FY 2025-26 on Monday (June 2).

He said that the 'July Uprising Directorate' has already been setup with the aim of preserving the history and memory of the July Uprising, rehabilitating the families of the martyrs and the injured students and public, and establishing the ideals and spirit of the uprising in state and national life.

A policy will soon be formulated to provide allowances to the families of the martyrs and injured of the July Uprising, he added.
