Govt to procure 1 cargo LNG with Tk 622 crore

The government today approved a proposal for procuring one cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to meet the country’s growing demand.

The approval came from the 23rd meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) this year held on Tuesday (June 17) at Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.

Following a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Petrobangla would procure one cargo LNG from the spot market the following international quotation method from M/S Excelerate Energy LP, USA with around Tk 621.84 crore.
