Forex reserves cross $27b

Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves have crossed US$27 billion.
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan revealed this information on Wednesday (June 25). This marks a significant rise from $26.73 billion on April 17.
According to the central bank, the country’s gross foreign exchange reserves are US$27.30 billion. However, as per the International Monetary Fund (IMF) methodology under the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6), the reserves have increased to US$22.24 billion.
