Walton family expresses deep shock at death of AMA Muhith

Walton family has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former eminent Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, one of the organizers of Liberation War, Language Movement hero and veteran politician.

The Board of Directors of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC also extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and wishes for the forgiveness of the departed soul.

Golam Murshed, Managing Director (MD) and CEO of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, attended the first namaz-e-janaza of Abul Maal Abdul Muhith at Gulshan Central Mosque (Azad Mosque) at 11:00 am on Saturday (April 30). He was accompanied by Abul Bashar Howlader, Additional Managing Director at Walton Hi-Tech Industries and SM Zahid Hasan, Senior Executive Director, among others. They paid homage to the body of Abul Maal Abdul Muhith with placing wreath.

In a condolence message, the CEO of Walton Hi-Tech said, “Abul Maal Abdul Muhith is a name that reflects in eyes as a well-known economist, politician and writer. He made his life colorful and successful with his deeds. His contribution is outstanding in keeping the country’s economy upward. I am deeply saddened at his demise. I wish him a peaceful afterlife.”

Abul Maal Abdul Muhith died at United Hospital in the capital around 01:00 am on Saturday at the age of 88. He was suffering from various old age complications.
