Price of US dollar surpasses Tk 100 in open market

The price of US dollar has surpassed Tk 100 again in the country’s open market.

Officials of money exchange companies in the capital’s Matijheel, Dilkusha and Paltan areas of Dhaka told this on Sunday (July 17).

Earlier, dollar price surpassed Tk 100 in mid of May.

It was learned after the Eid holidays, the price of dollar increased in two rounds in the interbank currency market. The central bank sold dollars to banks on Wednesday at Tk 93.95 for the last time. Since, the price in the open market reaches nearly Tk 100. On Sunday, the price finally surpassed the margin of Tk 100.

Mannu Mia of New Prime Money Changer Limited in Dilkusha, told risingbd that the dollar is being sold from Tk 100.20 to Tk 100.30 on Sunday. On Saturday, it was sold at Tk 99.70 to Tk 99.80.
