Gold prices drop again

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has reduced gold prices by Tk 1,167 a bhori for the local market.

A press release of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) confirmed this on Wednesday (October 4).

The new prices will be effective from tomorrow (October 5), BAJUS confirmed.

According to the press release, a buyer has to pay Tk 97,044 a bhori of 22-carat gold (11.664 grams).

The price of gold, the precious metal used mainly for ornaments, has been fluctuating for over a year.
