Death row convict dies in Kashimpur Jail

A death row inmate of Kashimpur High Security Jail died on Friday morning after he experienced chest pains and was taken to hospital.

The deceased was known as Jahirul Haque Bhuyian, 70, son of late Fazil Uddin, hailed from Laxmibardi area of Araihazar Upazila in Narayanganj.

Kashimpur high security jail’s senior jail super Subrata Kumar Bala confirmed the matter.

He said the prisoner was taken to Gazipur Shahid Tazuddin Ahmed medical college hospital where duty doctor declared him dead at 6:00am.
