Andaleeve Rahman Partho placed on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court placed Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) chairman and former lawmaker Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho, on a five-day remand in a case lodged over vandalizing and setting Setu Bhaban in the capital's Banani area on fire.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sultan Sohag Uddin passed the order on Thursday (July 25).
Earlier, DB police produced him before the court seeking 10 days remand.
Partho was arrested from his Gulshan residence in the capital at this morning.
