Two doctors at Companiganj upazila health complex fled after they allegedly cut a seven-year-old boy’s penis in a botched circumcision attempt.
Sheikh Farid, uncle of the seven-year-old boy, said that Al Nahian Tajbib was taken to the hospital on Wednesday (February 21). Part of Nahian’s glans was cut off while removing the foreskin or prepuce. Later, Deputy assistant community medical officer Bijoy Kumar Dey and Sourov Bhoumik fled the scene.
Companiganj upazila health officer Dr Mohammad Salim said hearing the issue, I have visited the emergency department instantly. The boy is out of danger now.
Nahian’s incident takes place when two kids died following their circumcision in the capital recently.
