2 killed in Chapainawabganj road accidents

Two persons were killed in two separate road mishaps in Chapainawabganj municipality area on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Md Rafi, 8, son of Kawsar of Kalinagar village under Shibganj upazila and Khairunnesa, 65, wife of Ruhul Amin of  Joragachi area under Chapainawabganj municipality.

According to locals, Rafi was seriously injured as he fell down from an auto-rickshaw as a motorcycle hit it at Shibtala intersection. He was rushed to the Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital. Later, he was referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way. 
 
Another victim, Khairun, was run over by a sand-laden truck as she was crossing the road at Jorgachi Natunpara in Chapainawabganj municipality. She died on the spot.
