42 fall sick after taking food at wedding function

At least 42 people including women and children fell sick after consuming food at a wedding function in Gaforgaon of Mymensingh on Friday.

Among them, 32 people have been admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

According to sources, semai was cooked with pesticides mistakenly for sugar at the house of Mofiz Uddin at South Bhorbhora village under Rasulpur union.

Chairman of Rasulpur Union Parishad Moin Sarkar confirmed the news.

Officer-in-Charge of Gaforgaon Thana Md Rasheduzzaman said a total of 32 people have been admitted to hospital, and all of them are out of danger.  Police visited the spot.
