Bhasanchar gas cylinder explosion: A child dies

A child died who had sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at a house of Bhasanchar Rohingya Housing Project under Hatiya upazila in Noakhali on Saturday morning.

The deceased is Mohammad Rasel, 3, son of Azizul Haque at Bhasanchar Rohingya camp.

He died on way to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

Noakhali Police Super Mohammad Asaduzzaman confirmed the news.

At least nine people sustained burn injuries in the incident. Most of them are children.

The incident took place at the cluster house no. 81 of a Rohingya housing project.

Immediately, all the burnt people were admitted to Bhasanchar Hospital. Later, they were shifted to Noakhali General Hospital. Among them, six are receiving treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
