4 held over giving proxies in civil surgeon recruitment test

Four people were detained for appearing as proxies in the recruitment examination for the post of health assistant at Magura civil surgeon on Sunday (February 25).

The detainees are – Moniruzzaman, Shariful Islam, Sajib Hossain and Miraz Hossain.

Magura Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mehedi Hasan confirmed the matter.

Sources said that the written examination for the recruitment of 71 candidates against six posts in 11-17 grades under the revenue sector for various health institutions of Magura Civil Surgeon office was held last Friday (February 23).

The successful candidates were asked to attend the viva-voce on Sunday. Meanwhile, the four candidates were caught for giving proxies. Later, they were handed over to police.

Police said that they came to take part in the viva examination for Tk 2 lakh each.
