Cylinder blast in Bhashan Char: Another child dies

Another kid who suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast at Bhashan Char Rohingya camp in Noakhali on Saturday died at Chattogram Medical College and Hospital on Monday, taking the death toll from the blast to three.

The deceased was known as Robi Alam, 5.

Nurul Alam, Sub-inspector at Chattogram Medical College and Hospital outpost said the child Robi Alam died on Monday evening.

Earlier in the morning, Mubassara, 4, died at the same unit, he added.

On February 24, a gas cylinder explosion occurred in cluster number 81 of Rohingya camp in Bhasanchar of Hatia upazila. As many as nine people were injured in the fire.
