Fire breaks out at Ctg S Alam Sugar Mills

A fire broke out at a sugar mill, owned by S Alam group, in Karnaphuli upazila of Chattogram district on Monday (March 4).

The fire originated around 4:15pm.

Shoaib Hossain Munshi, warehouse inspector of Karnaphuli Fire Service, said the fire broke out at the sugar mill, owned by S Alam group, around 4:15 pm and spread soon.

Being informed, twelve firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to extinguish the blaze.

However, no one was injured in this connection.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
