Bus-Pickup collision kills 11 in Faridpur

At least 11 people were killed and eight others were injured when a passenger bus collided with a pickup van in Kanaipur of Faridpur on Tuesday morning (April 16).

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident took place in Diknagar area of Kanaipur on Faridpur-Khulna highway around 8:00am.

Police and fire service officials said the passenger bus was heading towards Magura from Dhaka. The bus collided with a pickup van in the area from opposite direction, leaving 11 people dead on the spot.

Faridpur police super Mohammad Morshed Alam confirmed the matter.
