Husband, wife killed in Natore road crash

A man and his wife were killed when a truck ran over them in Boro Rangamatia area of Ashulia in Savar on Tuesday (April 16).

The deceased were known as Delwar Hossain and his wife Hasi Begum, hailed from Singra of Natore.

Quoting locals, the couple was heading towards Jirab area riding a motorcycle around 9:00pm. At one stage, the victims fell on the road when the biker lost control over the bike. Meanwhile, a speedy truck ran over them, leaving the duo critically injured.

Later, the injured were sent to local hospital where duty doctor declared them dead.

Ashulia police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Arafat Uddin said on information, the bodies were recovered.
