2 UPDF activists shot to death in Rangamati

Two activists of United Peoples Democratic Front (UPDF) were shot to death allegedly by miscreants at Langadu upazila in Rangamati district on Saturday (May 18) morning.

The incident took place at Barbunia area under the sadar union of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Tilak Chakma and Dhanya Ram Chakma.

According to locals and police, a group of armed miscreants swooped on the two members of UPDF on Friday night and opened fire on them, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Langadu Police Station Officer-in-Charge Harun-ur-Rashid said that on information, a team of police was sent to the spot and details will be briefed later.
