Cop among 2 held for mugging in Chattogram

Two people, including a policeman, were detained in connection with a reported mugging from a businessman in Tigerpass area under Khulshi thana in Chattogram.

The detainees are known as Aminul Islam, a Sub-Inspector (SI) at Khulshi police station, and his source.

Locals said that a person was crossing the area carrying 16 bhori gold this evening. Meanwhile, three muggers attacked him and tried to flee the scene taking the gold from the victim. Hearing screaming, locals chassed the muggers and caught two of them.

Chattogram metropolitan police (CMP) deputy commissioner Md Mokhlesur Rahman confirmed the matter.
