Old couple killed in M’singh road accident

A man and his wife died after being crushed by an unidentified bus while they were crossing the Dhaka-Mymensingh in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh.

The accident took place at about 11:15pm on Friday (May 24) on the Dhaka-Mymensingh in the Amtoli area of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Abbas Ali Dewan, 90, and his wife Hajera Khatun, 80, both are residents of Tangail district. They visited their daughter’s house in Amtoli area of the Bhaluka upazila.

Bhoradoba Highway Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Md Kamrul Islam confirmed the matter.

Legal action is under process in this regard, said the SI.
