Mongla Port asked to hoist danger signal 7

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has asked to hoist danger signal no 7 for Mongla Port due to cyclonic storm Remal in the Bay of Bengal.

Assistant Public Relations Officer of Mongla Port Monirul Islam Monir informed this on Saturday night.

The port authorities have taken all out preparations to face the cyclone. At least six ships have been anchored in safe place, he also said.

The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has turned into a cyclone, Remal, and moving towards coast. 

It is likely to escalate into a severe cyclone and hit Bangladesh and West Bengal coast on the night of May 26 or morning of May 27.
