Tk 5000cr came as remittance in first 6 days of July

Inflow of remittances witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 15.34 per cent, reaching US$427 million (about Tk 5000crore) in the first six days of July.
During the same period last year, the country’s remittance inflow was $371 million, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued on Monday (July 7).
Expatriate Bangladeshis sent a record $30.33 billion in remittances in the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), marking the highest amount ever received in a single fiscal year in the country's history.
This figure reflects a 26.80 percent increase compared to the $23.91 billion received in the previous fiscal year (FY24).
