PM reaches Rajshahi

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached Rajshahi to address a public rally scheduled to be held at historic Madrasha ground.

She reached the Bangladesh Police Academy in Rajshahi’s Sardah around 10:45 am.

Principal (Additional IG) of Bangladesh Police Academy Abu Hassan Mohammad Tariq welcomed the premier at the Police Academy and later she was given a warm reception.

Rajshahi city and district units of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) have organized the public rally at historic Madrasha ground.

The prime minister is attending the graduation ceremony of the 38th BCS Cadre apprentice assistant superintendents of police.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to address the huge public rally.

Apart from addressing the rally, she is expected to inaugurate 25 projects with involvement of around Taka 1,316.97 crore. The premier is also likely to lay the foundation stones of six other projects with an estimated cost of around Taka 376.28 crore.

Many of the AL leaders and workers fixed large and medium size banners and posters on both sides of the roads towards the rally venue welcoming Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The metropolis has become colourful and decorative with scores of banners, posters, placards and festoons and paintings on the roadside walls.
