Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury passes away

Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, the founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra and a freedom fighter, has passed away.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital at 11:15pm on Tuesday (April 11).
Gonoshasthaya Kendra Press Advisor Jahangir Alam Mintu said we can’t confirm the matter officially. We will formally announce it soon.
Bhasani Anushari Parishad convener Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Babul said Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury passed away. Decision regarding his Namaz-e-Janaza will be announced later.
Earlier, after Zafrullah fell seriously ill on April 5, he was taken to Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in the capital's Dhanmondi.
