Action must against responsible persons over PM’s flight glitch

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Hungary was forced to make an emergency landing at Ashgabat airport in Turkmenistan because of “technical glitch”. The Prime Minister and her entourage had to make an unexpected stopover there for four hours following the glitch. After four hours of repairs and a test run, the plane started its journey for Budapest from Ashgabat.

Quoting Biman sources, media reported that the VVIP Biman flight ‘Ranga Probhat’ carrying the prime minister and her entourage took off at 9:14am on Sunday from Dhaka airport to Budapest, capital of Hungary. But the aircraft was forced to make emergency landing in the mid way due to the technical fault. The pilot of the aircraft opined that the fault was not dangerous. But, the question is- why the fault was found in VVIP flight of Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Prime Minister.  

It was reported that the problem occurred due to low fuel pressure in left side of the plane. Sources also said that the problem was solved after just after tightening some nuts, bolts, and screws. But, the question is- How it was possible? Major accident could be taken place when the plane was in 30,000 feet high from the ground.

Every VVIP flight goes through special checking before takeoff. So, question arises about the checking. No can accept the unexpected incidents.

Some people threw questions if the VVIP flight face such type incidents then what about the general flights in several routes?

Earlier, on June 8, a plane carrying the Prime Minister Sheikh and her entourage, delayed landing as the pilot saw some metal debris at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The pilot contacted control tower and plane roam in air until the metals removed from runway. The incident created a huge stir and the authority formed an investigation committee. Later, two officers of traffic control were sacked in the incident.

Several types of words were heard about irregularities and negligence of national flag career Biman. The same issue has come forward after the emergency landing at Ashgabat airport in Turkmenistan. The airport authority should be more careful in this regard. If any negligence found then action must be taken. The concerned authority should take steps for the sake of proper investigation.
