Girls outshine boys in HSC results

The girls outshine the boys in this year's results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina said this after announcing the results of the HSC and its equivalent exams.

Meanwhile, the premier said the pass rate of girls is higher this year. It should be known - why boys are falling behind.

The pass rate for girls this year is 80.57%, while the pass rate for boys is 76.76%.

Earlier, the Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni and chairmen of all education boards handed over the summary of the results to the premier at her official Ganabhaban residence this morning. Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury and board chairmen were present at the time.
