Primary teacher recruitment test postponed

Staff Correspondent, DHAKA, Mar 19: The primary teacher recruitment tests for the assistant teacher posts in 17 districts scheduled on March 28 has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons.

A press release from the Primary and Mass Education Ministry disclosed this on Wednesday noon.

Earlier on December 17, the ministry announced that the teacher recruitment tests would be held on March 28.

The exam was cancelled due to question paper leakage in the respective districts. The districts are Dhaka, Narayanganj, Mymensingh, Rajbari, Netrakona, Sherpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Lalmonirhat, Cox’s Bazar, Khulna, Satkhira, Jhenidah, Meherpur, Sunamganj, Habiganj and Moulvibazar.

The written tests for recruiting assistant teachers were held on November 8, 2013.

Later, authorities cancelled the results of tests in the districts, following a probe report submitted by an inquiry committee formed to investigate the alleged leak of question papers.
