Motijheel Ideal School best in Dhaka

Motijheel Ideal School and College topped the list of 20 best institutions in this year’s SSC examinations under the Dhaka Board.

Viqarunnisa Noon School secured the second best position from the last year’s fourth best position while last year’s chart leader Rajuk Uttara Model High School stepped down to the third position.
Dhaka Residential Model School and College secured the fourth position, while Mirzapore Cadet College the fifth position.
A total of 89.03 percent students passed in all boards while 91,226 got the highest points this year.

This year the average pass rate in Dhaka Board is 87.31 per cent.

A total of 1,196 examinees took part in the SSC Examination from Motijheel Ideal School and College. Of them, 1,079 have secured GPA 5. The school`s has two branches--one at Motijheel and the other at Banasree.

Motijheel Ideal School and College`s Principal Dr Shaheen Ara Begum said they succeeded to attain such excellent results owing to the combined efforts of the teachers and guardians.

"Our teachers give lessons to students with great care. The outcome of their efforts is this good results," she said.

She said the school attained third position last year and second position in the preceeding year.

Replying to a question, Principal Dr Shaheen Ara Begum said they have been occupying a position in the list of top ten following the introduction of GPA. "We want to move ahead with the support of all."

She said 497 examinees appeared in the SSC Examinations from the Science Group from the school. Of them, 489 received GPA 5. On the other hand, 97 examinees got GPA5 out of 149 examinees in the Business Studies Group.

Besides, 92 examinees secured GPA5, out of 94 students from the English Version of the school.
