Ducsu polls held in fair manner: VC

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman said that the elections to DU Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) and hall unions were held in a fair and peaceful manner.

He said this while addressing reporters after the end of the election on Monday noon.

“Students set an example by casting their votes in a disciplined way. Enthusiastic students cast their votes in a festive atmosphere,” he said.

On the other hand, agitation spread out at the university campus following alleged irregularities in the Ducsu polls. 

According to the latest information, all panels except Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have boycotted the long-awaited election.
