DU library reopens after 1.5 yrs

The authorities on Sunday (September 26) reopened the Dhaka University central library after 1.5 years.
The institute and seminar rooms of all departments have been also reopened which remained closed for around 18 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
University proctor professor Golam Rabbani said, “We have opened the halls for the betterment of students. Universities will reopen on October 5. However, we reopened the library first so that students can start their studies soon.”
Earlier, on 18 September, the DU syndicate, the highest decision making body of the university, decided to keep the central and seminar libraries open for the students of Honours 4th year and Masters, given that the students have taken at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine and valid ID card.
