DU student dies after falling off hall building

A Dhaka University (DU) student died after falling off a building at Jagannath Hall of the university.

The deceased was identified as Limon Kumar Roy, 23.

The incident took place around 10 am on Wednesday (November 23).

Confirming the incident, Noor Mohammad, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shahbagh police station, said, “We have sent a team of police to the spot soon after hearing the news.”

It has been learnt that some students of the university brought Limon to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in a dying condition where doctors declared him dead.

DMCH police outpost In-Charge Md Bacchu Mia said the body was kept at the hospital’s morgue.
