Plagiarism in textbooks: Zafar Iqbal, Hasina Khan express sorrow

The editor and writer of the textbook, professor Zafar Iqbal and professor Hasina Khan have acknowledged the allegation of plagiarism in the class VII science textbooks.

They issued a joint statement expressing their disappointment over the matter on Tuesday (January 17).

According to the statement, “Although we were not responsible for writing those parts [that were copied from the national geographic education], we are acknowledging these mistakes as editors.”

“We will correct these mistakes in the next edition.” the statement said.
