Errors in Textbooks: Govt formed 2 probe committees

The education ministry has formed two probe committees to identify mistakes in textbooks and ascertain whether the errors were the result of any negligence.

Education Ministry’s Secondary and Higher Education Division office issued an order in this regard on Tuesday (January 31).

Sources said Dhaka University's IER Director Abdul Halim will lead the seven-member probe committee to find out the mistakes in the textbooks. The other members are included- professor M Wahiduzzaman, NCTB member Md Lutfar Rahman.

This committee has been asked to submit its report within one month. Meanwhile, a separate committee was formed to investigate the negligence of the officials.
