Primary scholarship results to be reviewed

State minister for primary and mass education Md Zakir Hossain has said that the results of the primary scholarship has been postponed due to coding problems in the software concerning the results. The amendment of the results will be released on March 1.

He revealed the information to media on Tuesday (February 28) night.

Meanwhile, director of the Directorate of Primary Education (Training Department) Dr Uttam Kumar Das said a four-member investigation committee has been formed to probe the matter. The committee has been asked to submit report withing a short time.

Uttam Kumar Das said the scholarship results will be changed as coding problems were found. Work is underway to resolve it. This is a very small problem. However, such an event is not desirable. The results will be released on March 1 after reverification.

The scholarship results of the government primary schools were postponed on Tuesday evening, hours after publishing.

Earlier, the scholarship results of primary were published on on Tuesday. Accoriding to the results published, a total of 82,383 primary students had got scholarships in the ongoing year across the country.

Among them, 33,000 students got talent pool scholarships and 49,383 secured general scholarships.

It was learned that a total of 4,82,904 examinees participated in the examinations.

Each student with talent pool scholarships will get Tk 300 every month while students with general scholarships each will get Tk 225.
