Cyclone: All educational institutions in 4 boards closed

The government decided to close all educational institutions in Chattogram, Barishal, Cumilla, and Jashore boards on Sunday (May 14).

The decision has been taken due to the situation arising due to the strong cyclone Mocha.

Education Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Saturday evening (May 13).

According to the notice, the activities of all secondary, higher secondary, and university-level educational institutions under Chattogram Education Board, Barisal Education Board, Comilla Education Board, and Jessore Education Board, will remain closed on Sunday.

The schedule of postponed examination will be announced later through notification, it said.

Earlier, the authorities postponed the Secondary School Certificate or SSC exams of Sunday under five educational boards due to Cyclone Mocha which is approaching Bangladesh’s coasts.
