The government has decided to keep all public primary schools closed from June 5 to June 8 due to the severe heatwave sweeping the country.

Ministry of Primary and Mass Education took the decision considering the health safety of the children going to the schools.

Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, public relations officer at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education confirmed the matter in a press release on Sunday (June 4).

On the other hand, all matches of the Bangabandhu and Bangamata Gold Cup, football tournaments organized for primary school students across the country, have been suspended due to the heatwave.
