Govt cancels summer vacation for secondary schools

The government has decided to cancel the summer vacation for secondary-level schools.
The vacation will be coordinated with the winter vacation to implement the new curriculum.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni came up with the disclosure in a meeting with non-government teachers’ leaders on Wednesday (July 19).
According to the source of the meeting, the education minister said that teaching and evaluation for the sixth and seventh classes under the new curriculum should be completed by November 30.
According to the academic calendar, the summer vacation is scheduled from July 20 to August 2. That is not happening anymore this year.
