Singer Noble sent to jail after woman allegedly harassed

Singer Mainul Ahsan Noble has been sent to jail in connection with a case filed under the women and children repression Prevention Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zia Uddin Ahmed passed the order on Tuesday, (May 20), after a hearing.

Earlier, the investigating officer of the case, Inspector Murad Hossain of Demra Police Station, produced him in court and pleaded to keep him behind bar.

The Demra police arrested Noble in Demra Staff Quarter area around 1:50 am today, said Talibur Rahman, deputy commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
