Pori Moni falls sick at court 

Actress Pori Moni appeared before the court of Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-9 at around 11:05am on Monday (May 26).

Pori Moni fell ill due to extreme heat. As a result, the court postponed the cross-examination of the actress. The new hearing date is set for 9 September.

On 8 June 2021, Pori Moni ignited heated discussions when she alleged that she was harassed at the Boat Club in Savar.

Later on, she filed a case on 14 June that year, naming businessman Nasir Uddin Mahmood and his friend Tuhin Siddique Ami, and four unknown individuals.

On 18 May 2022, the court indicted the suspects and started the trial. The hearing of testimony began on 29 November that year with the recording of partial statements from Pori Moni. She completed her testimony on 22 September 2024.
