Singer Noble granted bail in rape case

A Dhaka court granted bail to singer Mainul Ahsan Noble in a case filed against him for allegedly confining a girl at his Demra residence for seven months and raping her during that period.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehera Mahbub passed the order on Tuesday noon (June 24).
Earlier on June 18, the court instructed the jail authorities to facilitate the marriage of the popular singer with the former Eden Mohila College student who filed a rape case against him.
Police arrested Mainul Ahsan Noble, who gained fame for his appearance on the Indian reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa," from his Demra Staff Quarter home on May 20.
