Singer Farida Parveen hospitalized

Renowned Lalon singer Farida Parveen has been admitted to hospital with severe respiratory distress.

Her husband, instrumentalist Gazi Abdul Hakim confirmed the matter on Monday (July 7).

Earlier, Farida Parveen was admitted to a private hospital three days ago with breathing problems. After initially being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), she was transferred to a general cabin yesterday.

Gazi Abdul Hakim said, "Her overall condition is not very good. She has been admitted to the ICU three times in the last few months. She is suffering from kidney and lung diseases."
