Desk Report: Prominent filmmaker Shahidul Islam Khokon is no more.
He was at 59.
He died around 8.15am on Monday at Uttara Adhunik Hospital in the city.
Khokon had long been suffering from ‘motor neuron disease’.
He was admitted to the hospital as his condition deteriorated on December 31, 2015.
Films directed by Khokon include Loraku, Birpurush, Bojromusthi, Biplob, Akorma, Shotorka Shoitan, Bishdant, Top Rongbaj, Utthan Poton, Lal Sabuj and Palabi Kothai.
His first namaj-e-janaza will be held at BFDC after Asar prayers and he will be buried at a grave at Uttara in the city.
