Priyadarshini crowned Miss India 2016

Risingbd Desk: Guwahati girl Priyadarshini Chatterjee was crowned as the winner of fbb Femina Miss India 2016.

Priyadarshini beat 21 finalists to bag the crown at the 53rd edition of the beauty pagent in Mumbai.

Miss India 2015 Aditi Arya crowned Priyadarshini Chatterjee as the winner of Femina Miss India 2016.

Sushruthi Krishna is Femina Miss India 2016 runner-up, Pankhuri Gidwani announced as the second runner-up.

The jury decided on top three Miss India titles and the lovely task of announcement fell on none other that Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. Prior to that, SRK shook leg with top 5 finalists on the song `Jabra` from his upcoming movie Fan.

Miss India 2016 Priyadarshini will represent India at the global platform Miss World 2016; first runner-up Sushruthi Krishna will participate at Miss International 2016, while the second runner-up Pankhuri Gidwani will take part at the Miss Grand International beauty pageants.

Hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and Manish Paul, the event saw brilliant performances by Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sunidhi Chauhan, and rapper Badshah.

The event saw who`s who of Bollywood and fashion world. Tennis ace Sania Mirza, producer Ekta Kapoor, fashion designers Manish Malhotra and Shane Peacock, Sanjay Dutt, Arjoon Kapoor, Amy Jackson, director Kabir Khan, and Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna juudged the competition to come to a final decision.
