Singer Nakib Khan tests coronavirus positive

Renowned composer, lyricist and musician Nakib Khan, founder of the pop band Renaissance, has tested coronavirus positive.

He is currently in isolation at his home, said lyricist Shahid Mahmud Jangi.

He said wrote in his Facebook post, ‘Nakib Khan has tested positive for Covid-19. Please, you all pray for him.”

Meanwhile, prominent musician Kumar Biswajit said, “Nakib Khan has been feeling physically weak for a few days. Although he did not have any special symptoms of coronavirus, he gave sample to be tested for the virus. On November 12, he got report of contracting Covid-19 positive. He is currently in isolation at home.”

Nakib Khan formed the band “Renaissance” in 1985 after leaving another band ‘Souls’. Their first album was released in 1988 creating a huge buzz among music lovers at the time.
