Producer Matia Banu Shuku hospitalized

Talented playwright Matia Banu Shuku has been admitted to a hospital.

She underwent a successful surgery on her uterus early Friday at the Central Hospital on Green Road in the city.

Playwright Saiful Alam Shamim confirmed the matter.

On Friday morning, Shamim told risingbd that Shuku Apa had been undergoing various tests for the past one week as per the advice of doctors. After receiving the reports, the doctors said that there is a tumor in the upper uterus and she needs a surgery on an emergency basis.

She was then admitted to the hospital on Thursday. He was taken to the operation theater around 12 pm. The surgery started at 1.00 am and ended at 5.00 am, he added.
